Metaltone
Long-Lasting, Easy-Clean Acoustic Surfaces
Metaltone is a robust acoustic solution designed for architectural and industrial applications where durability and high-impact resistance are essential.
Unlike traditional acoustic panels, Metaltone excels in environments that demand toughness.
Available in multiple acoustic ratings, up to Class A, ensuring top-tier sound absorption performance.
Don’t settle for mediocre sound quality – upgrade your space with acoustic panels and experience the difference.
Dimensions | Available in standard thicknesses of 50 mm and 100 mm. Lengths of up to 3660 mm. |
---|---|
Installation | The panels may be suspended from ceilings or simply attached to walls. |
Material | Manufactured from rugged, abuse and fire-resistant 0.76mm galvanised steel. |
Finishes | Panels are available in a wide range of attractive finishes – including PPC and vinyl – which are both hard-wearing and easy to clean. |
Sound absorption values are shown below:
Model | Centre Frequency, Hz | 125 | 250 | 500 | 1000 | 2000 | 4000 | NRC* |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
VT-2 (50mm) | Coefficient | 0.35 | 0.65 | 1.20 | 1.21 | 1.07 | 0.92 | 1.00 |
VT-2P (50mm) | Coefficient | 0.41 | 0.47 | 0.64 | 0.79 | 0.85 | 0.72 | 0.70 |
VT-4 | Coefficient | 0.97 | 1.39 | 1.34 | 1.29 | 1.19 | 1.01 | 1.30 |
VT-4P | Coefficient | 0.86 | 0.89. | 0.93 | 0.89 | 0.84 | 0.77. | 0.90 |
*NRC stands for Noise Reduction Coefficient and is the average of the 250, 500, 1000 and 2000Hz coefficients. It is a single number indicator of relative absorption values. Coefficients greater than 1.0 result from diffraction effects associated with limited sample size (ASTM C423-90a – 6.69m2).
For most applications, a maximum coefficient of 0.95 is recommended for noise reduction calculations.
Note: The above absorption measurements are based upon ASTM C423-90a test procedure. Certified laboratory test reports are available upon request.
Material | Resistant 0.76mm galvanised steel |

Each module is manufactured from rugged, abuse-resistant 0.76mm perforated galvanised steel with an open area of 33%.
Each module contains incombustible, inert, mildew-resistant and vermin-proof acoustically absorbent infill.
